Case Valmet

Valmet DNA, an automation system for energy industry uses Yepzon™ Asset to collect data and sends it through Yepzon cloud to Valmet DNA that projects it as part of other data already provided by the service.

Valmet and Yepzon have announced industrial IoT solutions that bring savings in industrial logistics processes. Yepzon’s tracking and sensoring devices are integrated with Valmet DNA automation system – a combined solution providing industrial businesses constant live tracking and sensor data e.g temperature, humidity, acceleration, and collision. The location information enables proactive optimization of logistics and allocation of assets whereas the sensor data allows for quality control during transportation and fast settling of liabilities for any defects or impacts during the route.

Valmet and Yepzon are also launching an ATEX certified LTE IoT solution that can be used in the oil and gas industry where electronics need to comply with the directives set for potentially explosive environments.

“The solution responds well to the tracking and monitoring needs of the oil and gas industry as we seem to be the first one offering 4G LTE technology with ATEX certification in industrial tracking and sensoring,” says Jani Hautaluoma, Director, Process Automation from Valmet.

Valmet is the leading global developer and supplier of process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
